Description: Authentic Original 1960 Knoll Harry Bertoia Diamond Chairs and Bird Ottoman. Mid-Century Modern. These are NOT reproductions! These are ORIGINAL Authentic Bertoia Diamond Chairs, and were purchased by my late parents when they built their house in 1959. The purchase date is 1959-1961, so they are very early ORIGINALS. These chairs have been copied by many designers, but these are the originals. The welds are all in good condition. There is some corrosion on the chrome, that is easily removed with chrome polish. (We have not done this simple task, as the petina corroborates the item's age.) The covers have some wear and scuffing, and the foam padding under the removable covers has degraded and resettled, so the chairs will need new padding. The edge of the one cover is coming off, but we have not tried to tighten it up and reattach it. The Diamond chairs each measure 34 x 32 x 31 inches. The Bird Ottoman measures 23.5 x 17 x 13.5 inches. If you are in the Chicago area, we have a shipper that we have worked with a number of times who can pick up from us and deliver to you (for an additional reasonable fee).
