Description: AUSTRALIA. GV ERROR! 1930 5d on 4 1/2d Violet block of 6 stamps.The listed variety is on top right stamp - "narrow last "E" of PENCE". Position 2, 3L6. SG 120. Brusden White Australian Commonowealth Specialists' Catalogue (ACSC) 125d. The stamps are pristine unmounted mint with superb smooth, clean original gum.An interesting anomoly - perhaps another error - is the stamp with the "E" flaw has the kangaroo appearing to have a "black eye". This is not a hole nor it is a thinned area. Residue ink perhaps from the overprint? Or the resultof a kangaroo boxing match! There is a very light hinge mark on the margin, which does not affect the stamps. Overall, a really nice positional block! Please review images.
