Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This lot is for a cover envelope featuring the art of ARTHUR SZYK on a stamp titled "THE COBBLER" from the Israel Interim Period of 1948 from the "DIASPORA" series. This is one of the Diaspora stamps in the "blue" color. Unsure as to which overprint that may have been on the stamp as the overprint is obliterated in a black mark. Nonetheless, a desirable Szyk and/or Diaspora issue, as covers are hard-to-find.The entire cover measures about 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". The front side is unaddressed, and the back side is clean with no writings. The backflap is adhered to the cover. Cover was postmarked and canceled in RAMATAYIM on 7-MAY-48. See photos.
