Description: The Four Seasons - egg-tempera-on-hard-cardboard lacquered tetraptych. This is a framed egg-tempera-on-hard-cardboard-lacquered fresco techniques tetraptych set, all four measuring 40 x 50 cm. Entitled "The Four Seasons", it is dedicated to Eastern Orthodox Christian traditions and holidays around the year. ConditionWe bought this tetraptych directly from Natalia, brought it home from her studio and were the happy owners for 35 years. At this time, we are significantly downsizing and are looking for a nice new home for the items we regretfully can't take along. The paintings come from children/pet/smoke-free home. All four paintings are in excellent condition. The surfaces are lacquered and can be gently dusted with microfiber dusters such as Swiffer. The frames have very minor areas where frame paint peels off. A few of these areas are shown in the provided pictures. We don't want to spend any time or money on restoring frames or re-framing the paintings, leaving it up the new owners and their taste. Each of the paintings in the set has a Ministry of Culture of the USSR seal and its representative's signature in the back stating that the painting is allowed to be exported from the USSR. The painting name, size, media etc., and the artist's name title and union membership are endorsed by the artist herself. If you are seriously interested and want more detailed pictures, please do not hesitate to let us know. Meanwhile, please refer to high resolution images provided as part of the description to make your own assessment of the item condition.
