Description: Before there was barkcloth...there was barkcloths older sister...Miss Satin or Miss Rayon...a look of royalty...aristocracy and design elitism...in other words it was more costly...higher end...and was sold by exclusive design shops in more major cities in the late 20's and early 30's as this textile was making its rounds in post Art Deco victorian culture of america...Hollywood Glam as we have come to know her...which today mixes so well with her younger sister Miss Barkcloth...a deco fancifulness. This yardage very well could have obtained the keen eye of a Hollywood starlet for her boudoir draperies which very well would have been paired with a luxurious mirrored Art Deco dressing table...and club chairs upholstered in a oversized garden print with maybe birds and jungle leaves...a tie in coordination of design and home fashion that was both pleasing to the eye...and a subtle suggestion of wealth and opulence. This offering is for ONE huge unused unwashed yardage of premier rich...scathingly sophisticated heavy and thick satin damask or brocade...a chevron stripe on stripe...one very shiny and the other barely...I have TWO AVAILABLE sold individually. I sold some of this yardage to Tommy Hilfiger's wife a few years back for a upholstery project...she loved it and why not...this is the best of the best...you can travel the worlds most expensive fabric houses and you will never come up better than vintage. It measures 48 inches wide x 92 inches long. It is as brand new as the day it was created through the magic of artistry of designers. It is flawless and fabulous. I take returns...but who wants to take a return right? So I do my best to add lots of photos that depict the weight and texture and do so thoughtfully so you are getting the most virtual experience. Please only buy if you know you really want it...in other words...I'm here to have the best selling experience and I can't do that without your help. With that said...of course I will take a return...I'm just hoping more the pricing will WOW YA over wanting to return it :) Here is to a summer of fabulous Florida Finds. :)
