Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard use a small size gold frame that the Ribbon Bar fits inside. The small frame is the approximately the same with and height as the Ribbon Bar (1 7/16 inch by 3/8 inch). The Army uses a large size gold frame. The Ribbon Bars we sell are manufactured in the United States and meet all applicable military specifications. We do not sell imported copies. Ribbon Bars are 1 7/16 inches wide and 3/8 inches tall (approximately36 millimeters by 10 millimeters) The gold frame used on Unit Award ribbons varies depending on the branch of service. The Army uses the large size frame. The Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard use the small size gold frame.
