Description: This is a Framework Molecular Model kit to help students studying both AP or college Organic Chemistry. The kit is useful for straight and branched chain Carbon molecules, structural and geometric isomers, conformational analysis of cyclohexane (and smaller) rings as well as chirality. We recently upgraded this kit to allow you to build amines, alcohols and halides. We use metal clusters to represent atoms and plastic tubing to represent the bonds between atoms to construct three dimensional models of molecules making it easier to see their shape and the relative arrangement of atoms. They are small kits and are packed in a resealable plastic bag. Below is the parts list for the kit. You can build one cyclohexane ring, or one double bond, or one triple bond. Stereoisomers Be creative, the size and length of the tubes can be easily rearranged to demonstrate four geometric, structural and stereo-isomers that have different groups attached to our tetrahedral cluster. Conformational Analysis Students will be able to build 3, 4, 5 and 6 member cyclo-alkanes. Demonstrate equatorial and axial positions as well as how chair-boat-chair ring inversions occur.
