After graduating from junior high school under the old system, he joined Tooku Nippo in 1946. From the mid-1940s, his works submitted to monthly photo magazine contests and photo exhibitions received high acclaim. In 1953, he won first place in the monthly ``Camera'' monthly section 1 (large prints). There was also interaction with photographers such as Ken Domon, Ihei Kimura, and Hiroshi Hamaya, who were in charge of the monthly screening. In the 1950s, it became difficult for him to balance his work with his job, and he gradually stopped applying to contests and began to concentrate on his work. He continued to be active in the local photography world, including being involved in the establishment of the Aomori Prefecture Photography Federation in 1963. In the 1960s, he became the photography manager of To-O Nippo, and in the 1975s he held positions such as machine news manager and Hirosaki branch manager. Around 1988, he retired from Tooku Nipposha. He became the director and president of Aomori Southwest Tooku Nippo Hanbai Co., Ltd. Around 1991, he left Aomori Southwest Nanbu Tooku Nippo Sales Co., Ltd. He passed away in 2014. [From the publisher]The nostalgic hometown that had been reflected in the depths of my retina slowly jumped out of Kudo's photo and began to move. The sound is added and the air shakes, and the people who lived in the city of those days become neighbors and shine. --Yoshitomo Nara (artist)
