Description: Antique WH Grindley & Co. Footed & Covered Oval Vegetable Bowl with Lid. Measurements: The Bowl measures 9-3/8" in Length (11-1/4" at Handles) by 6-7/8" Width by 2-5/8" Height (4-1/2" Height with Lid). The Lid alone is 9-7/8" Length x 7-3/8" Width. Pattern Description: Multicolored with Pink and Blue Flowers, Scalloped Edge. Gold Trim. Made in England. British Design Registration Number 412,411 which would have been issued in 1903. Maker's Mark: The Green Printed Maker's Mark, with 'ENGLAND' over 'W.H. GRINDLEY & Co.' within a Laurel Wreath. This back stamp was used by Grindley from ca. 1914 until 1925; this represents the likely date range that this bowl was made. Condition: Excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. The gold trim show moderate wear, but there is very little shelf wear and only light utensil marks. See photos.
