Description: Antique - Floral Wavecrest Banded Dresser Box - Pink Rosebuds - 7” Square Wave Crest is an opaque white glass manufactured by Pairpoint, Mt. Washington, Roedefer, Dithridge, and several European glass companies. The glass blanks were designed and decorated by the C.F. Monroe Company of Meridian, CT. Charles Monroe’s company was known for their high quality decorating. Wave Crest was at it’s height of popularity between 1890 and 1910. When C.F. Monroe Company closed in 1916 they destroyed all of their records. Lovely and clean. There are no chips or cracks. Velvet lining appears to have been replaced. Any wear is consistent with age.
