Shepard Hardware Company also covered the bank with Englishand Canadian patents in 1885. The character depicted by the bank was the well known pantomime clown, G.L Fox. The bank closely resembles an engraving of fox who had starred in a show named "Humpy Dumty" which opend in New York City on march 10, 1868. it waas advertised in the 1886 Selchow & Righter Catalog for $8.00 per dozen.OPERATION :- Place a coin in the right hand and press the lever located behind the left shoulder.
