Description: This item is a 35 1/4" right-handed hickory shafted chipper. It is marked Semi-Putter on the sole and is used as an approach putter/chipper from off the green. Smith's Patent model anti-shank style with no hosel and toe weighting. 26* loft and a C 2 swingweight. Made by MacGregor from their Accurate series with unusual star cleek mark. Wide sole cross-hatched face scoring. The head is clean and not all rusted. It does have the expected play nicks and dings and even dark patina. Please look at the many zoom pictures to get a better idea of condition. The shaft is an old apparently original MacGregor marked hickory. It is straight, I see no cracks and it is tight at the hosel. All hickory shafted clubs should be re-set prior to play. The grip is an old, apparently original, long leather wrap that is in fair vintage condition. Hard to find club. If you are considering playing with this club, while I see no issues with this hickory shaft (other than those mentioned above), I suggest that whipping be added just above the hosel to help prevent breakage. These hickory shafts often have hidden defects and are liable to break at any time. I do not guarantee hickory shafts against breakage when put into play. Never hit an old hickory shafted club off a driving range mat. Never hit an old hickory shafted wood with a hard range ball.Shipping in the US is calculated and based on a 3-pound box. This item shipped UPS Ground. For those of you that never ship but only receive items, the further you are from me in NC the more shipping will be. That is the way the carriers charge.
