Description: Antique Vintage Brass Bronze Federal Eagle Door Knocker Shield Plaque Washington. The back side is marked, looks like Washington but hard to read clearly. Measures about 7 3/8" high, 6" wide; it weighs 1 pound 12 ounces with the 2 long bolts screws. The patina look exactly like bronze so I am inclined to believe this is bronze rather than brass. I believe this was made as a door knocker but the knocker part is missing, otherwise fine condition with a great aged patina. See the detailed photos.
