There are no French silver hallmarks on the bail but there is a wordstamped onto the edge of this medal that looks like "ARGENT" which is "silver" in French, and this medal also tested positive for silver. The words on the Sacred Heart side translate from French to "My heart is united to you" and this side is signed "VACHETTE." The words on the Mary side translate to "Mary was conceived without sin" and this side is signed "WAAG."
