Description: Antique Thermoplastic Union Case 16th Plate, Berg# 2-120 Basket of Flowers (021). This is a nice brown case showing handling wear and one small corner chip. With surprisingly good original luster especially considering that these diminutive cases were designed to be carried in a pocket or purse and are often banged up. The hinges and clasp are perfect. The case has a fine brown pillow, fancy oval mat and frame and a great ambrotype of a 19th century "junior executive". The image shows just a little bit of bubbly deterioration.
