Velma also created an index for the poetry collection at the back of the notebook. The antique student notebook has a fabulous red fox graphic on the front cover and a Ready Reference guide including weights, measures and the multiplication table on the back cover. Velma wrote her name and school information in pencil on the vintage notebook's front cover. The antique notebook has a sewn binding. The circa 1920s school composition book shows wear consistent with its age and use including toning to the pages and some loss to the textile spine cover.
