Description: Set of 6 Bavarian China Luncheon Plates, 9". Hand painted, signed, D.W. Violets on the top 1/4" of the plate, in lavender/purples & greens, bottom of plate in pale yellow. The plates have a satin finish, (not glossy, shiny) Plates have BAVARIA on back. In excellent used condition....no chips, cracks, and minor wear markings. Weight of all 6 plates is 5 lbs 4 oz. Bavaria was a state from 1806 to 1871. After that it became Germany. Since Bavaria is on the back of the plates, they would be from that time.
