Description: This a rare & hard to find No. 1 Phenix Emulsifier apothecary mixer. It was manufactured by Whitall Tatum Company. The emulsifier is approximately 10.5" across the feet, 10" across the top of the stoneware bowl; 19" from outside of handle to outside of stoneware bowl; 12" from the bottom of the cast-iron stand to the top of the stoneware bowl, 18" to the top of the iron mixer. It has some paint loss and rust. You can still see some of the faded gold lettering and stenciling on the cast-iron base. There is wear to the stoneware glaze from rubbing on the cast-iron stand while being used but are not really noticeable when in the stand (see pics). There are flaws in the way the stoneware was made but there are no cracks. The interior is in good condition and could still be used as a mixer. It is a unique piece of history from the pharmaceutical industry, perfect for display, or as a kitchen mixer. Shipping will be only $60 to the contiguous 48 states. Shipping costs to any other country or state will be determined by the address of the buyer. It will be shipped with the mixer unbolted from the base for safe shipping of the stoneware bowl. You will need to bolt it back together. DISCLAIMER: Please review all pictures carefully as they are considered part of the item description.
