Description: This antique authentic union bugle horn from the 1800s, and is a rare find for any militaria collector. It looks like it has been through a few battles and as you can see it has some battle scars. With its copper and brass construction, it is sure to be a valuable addition to any collection. The horn is in good condition has a beautiful patina that adds to its historical charm. This bugle has not been tried by a professional bugler, although, my husband can make the dogs howl with it when he blows it. If you look carefully, you will see that this horn has been patched on the top, probably as a result of a conflict, as it looks like it was done by hand. That just adds more history and uniqueness to this piece. Please look at pictures carefully as they are evidence of condition. This has been in our collection for over 50 years, finally thinning out some of my husband‘s collection. The bugle is a unique piece of history that can be traced back to the Civil War era. It appears to have been used by union soldiers I have included some photographs of similar bugles that were used back then. It is an unusual style It is an original, authentic bugle that is perfect for collectors of Civil War era artifacts.
