Description: Estate Lundstrom Stackable Bookcase. I've owned this for about a decade, and am looking to downsize before moving. All of the glass paneled front doors open and close nicely. The bottom door has a tiny bit of friction while closing - I'm not sure if that was by design, or just the product of wood expanding or contracting over the past hundred plus years. The top shelf's small wood knob is missing, and has been since I acquired it. There's some wear as to be expected from a functional piece of furniture of its age - most notably on the feet/bottom area. There's also a small area of warping on the thin paneling on the very top, but unless you're eight feet tall, you'll not be able to see this. The wood on the side panels especially are slightly different colors, so it's possible this was mixed and matched at some point before I acquired it. This never bothered me and I always thought it added to its charm. The leaded glass section looks amazing, and I haven't seen many others with this. The bottom section has some holes cut out of the back panel. I believe this was done to add wired light or lights at some point. I tried to point out all the flaws, but this is truly a beautiful piece of furniture that has served me well, and just needs a new home. I've tried to look at others being offered, and sold here on eBay. I would say the condition is in keeping with most others offered, and I've tried to price it a bit less than others because I'd ideally like to sell it within the next few months. Reasonable offers will be considered. I WILL NOT SHIP THIS BOOKCASE. I'm located in Charleston, SC and would be happy to meet with your shipper/carrier, but have zero interest in trying to transport it myself. I think most transporters on sites like UShip would likely charge less than what this would cost to ship anyhow.... Please let me know if you have any questions... Buy from us with confidence.
