Description: Nice antique Navajo hand spun wool rug. It measures approximately 31" by 53". Age is believed to be between 1910 and 1930. Colors are very typical of this time period. Does not shows signs of floor wear (likely not walked on). Possibly used as a wall hanging. Based on the Tyrone D. Campbell classification of categories for determining physical condition this rug would likely rate as "GOOD" meaning above average. Please review the photos as they are a large part of the description and testament to its condition. We have added a number of photos to show the color changes through the weave. Also photos showing what appear to be pinholes that only occur anlong the "lazy Lines" indicating that it is likely part of the weaving process and not an actual pinhole. There is one hole noted in the photos as well as some edge damage and an old black yard stabilization added to the rug's perimeter many years ago. This rug is coming from a smoke free home and will be carefully packaged and shipped with standard insurance and track by USPS Priority Mail.
