Description: Southern Russia, Ukraine and the Caucasus, from the third edition of Ptolemy's Geography to have printed maps, the first to be printed in the vernacular and the first with 'modern' maps'. The completed work was published as 'Septe Giornate della Geographia di Francesco Berlinghieri' ('The Seven Days of Geography'). Blank Verso. Sheet size: 56 x 43 cm. Excellent condition: slightly trimmed to platemark top and bottom. Shipment to be arranged via registered mail.
