Description: Antique Map Engraving of Wallbrook & Dowgate Wards London 1756 An engraved map of London's Wallbrook and Dowgate Wards with the Armorials of London Lord Mayor Slingby Bethell, and Alderman of Dowgate Ward, Sir Richard Glyn, 1756. With views of Parish Church of St. Stephen in Wallbrook, and the Church of Royal Hill, St. Michel College. From William Maitland's "History of London from its Foundation to the Present Day" and engraved by Benjamin Cole in 1756. It is in a modern frame, looks to be archival material. With the frame it measures 16 1/2" high, by 21" wide. In good condition, no rips or tears but the paper has browned. Please see all photos. Guaranteed to be as described.
