The original housed in the Morgan Library & Museum has an image size of 18-1/2 x 26-3/4 inches. This piece has an image size of 18-3/8" x 26-3/16". These dimensions exclude the markings and title below the image as follows:Title: Veduta di una parte di Lung'Arno dalla parte opposta al Palazzo del Sig:re P.e Corsini (with "re" and "e" superscripts)Markings lower left: Jos. Firenze Series print marking: T.VIII (lower right)Overall sheet size: 27-1/4 x 34 inches, unframed, rolledThis is probably a hand pulled lithograph, as opposed to an offset lithograph, determined by the lack of a circular dot pattern seen when examined under magnification - the image appears to be directly printed on the paper. Research suggests that this print was likely made before the mid-20th Century (possibly in the later part of the 19th Century). I found no printmaker's marks on this piece on either side - just the image of the etching as it was originally presented in 1744, colored as shown. I was unable to find a comparable item (chromolithograph, and of this large size) in my research. Except for the hand coloring, it appears to reproduce the original very faithfully as far as I can tell.This is a very nice lithograph found housed in a tube, well protected with other artwork (this print will ship in this tube). It is in very good condition with minor chipping and short tears along the edges as shown, and some soiling on the back.
