Description: Beautiful antique Meissen tray. This large serving tray or platter has central floral painting with bright gilded crustacean shell border. The tray has cancelled Meissen mark on the back and an old repair. I recently acquired this on the Main Line in Philadelphia from an elderly woman who said this was passed down to her from her mother. She wasn't sure when the damage occurred but recalled it having been taken for professional repair at that time. No chipped edges, some paint touch ups were done at time of repair but whoever did the work was clearly a pro. This has a double cancelled mark on back dating it from 1857 to 1870. The last picture was taken outdoors in natural sunlight. Also has an angle shot showing the porcelain surface which looks to be in wonderful condition even with the repair, I see no superficial glue residue. Priced based on condition. Dimensions: Height 2 Inches, Width 16 1/4 Inches, Depth 16 1/4 Inches. Please refer to pictures as part of description. If you would like additional photos, please don't hesitate to ask.
