Description: This is a gorgeous antique night stand or side table manufactured in Williamsport PA by the J. K. Rishel Company. The J K Rishel Furniture Co was established in the 1850s in Williamsport. I am unsure of how to date this, but the tag, fasteners and fluted legs look early 1900s. From the catalogs and pictures I have found the fluted legs lead me to believe it is from the 1920s to late 1940s. The code on the back should tell a more seasoned aficionado - 448 and 5 under it Perhaps its the April 5th 1984? It measures 16" wide X 14" deep X 30" TallThe inside measurements are: 11.25w x 10.25d x 2.75t I am not sure of the wood type, but it looks like oak or mahogany with a mahogany stain. The patina on it is breathtaking. Simply perfection in aging in my opinion. Will be shipped in a semi crated strong box with ample padding. Fully sealed in plastic.
