Description: Antique Beautiful Hand Painted Wooden Rocking/Glider Horse, English Style made from the 1880s through early 1900s. From my research, this appears to be one of 3 styles carved during that period. This piece came from an old plantation in the Carolinas. The 3 holes in the bottom were used to hold the horse during the carving and painting stage. The hair on the tail is real horse hair. Please review all photos and do your own research. I am not an expert in this, just sharing info gather from the internet and several antique dealers I know. Size is: 30" Long x 26" Tall. I think it would have been given to a child age 1-3. This horse looks like it was not used very much, as it is in very good condition and no noticeable wear on the painted seat. Platform and hardware are all in very good condition. No signs of restoration or repair on the horse. I believe it to be all original. Take a close look at the hardware, as I understand that is a tell-tell sign of the time period. In very good condition, especially for the age of this item. Sold "AS IS" so please review all pictures and ask questions as needed. 99% or all Royal Restorations items are in very good condition without chips or cracks.
