Description: From my own collection, this is a wonderful antique wooden Grodnertal doll, hand carved in Germany. Please see the photos. Her eyes are delicately painted, and her gently arched brows were done with tiny brush strokes like hairs. She has carved ears and pierced detail, though her earrings are no longer with her. Gently painted along the hairline are delicate curls. The back of her head is accented with carved marks, which is unusual. She wears what may be her original dress, with great detailing and bows at the shoulders Someone has modified her pantalets, I think to make them longer. Her dress is sewn on, but I have pulled it up so you can see her tiny waist. She stands 18 1/2" tall and is cabinet ready.
