Description: Antique Glazed Staffordshire Black Basalt Griffen Teapot Circa 1830 Offered for sale is this fancy Staffordshire black basalt teapot with Griffen molded and applied decoration. It has a Griffen Head on the handle, and applied Griffen decoration on the sides on a textured background. No mark. Early 19th Century, circa 1830. The teapot is 3 1/2 inches tall by 6 1/2 inches wide from spout to handle. It weighs 12 oz (shipping weight 2 lbs) Condition: Very Good except for a chip on the spout, as shown.
