Antique German Wood Spice Rack 6 Original Porcelain Lidded Jars Blue White

Description: This is an antique spice rack made of turned and carved wood with its six original porcelain spice jars and lids. The jars are Zimmt (Cinnamon); Pfeffer (Pepper); Kummel (Caraway); Muskat (Nutmeg); Nelken (Clove); and Gewurz (Spice -- I believe this refers specifically to lebkuchen spice). The jars are blue and white with black lettering naming the six spices in German. Each one has a lid. They are not signed. The rack is wood accented with carving and turned pillars. It has two shelves with round indents to match the bottom of the jars. This prevents the jars from sliding on the shelves. There are two drawers at the bottom that slide out completely. Condition: This is an antique. The shelf is solid and sturdy. It can be hung on the wall (as shown) or can sit on a table/counter top against a wall. The turned finial top on the left (as shown in the photo) pillar appears to be either a repair or replacement as it is slightly lighter in color than the one on the right. Please see the close up photos. Two of the jars have damage. The Zimmt has a chip in the upper rim as shown. At some point in time the Muskat jar had a bad fall. It has old repairs (please see the photos) to both the jar and lid. Sold AS IS; it is an antique and is not a perfect new set. The rack is 18"at its tallest point and 13" at its widest point Each jar is 3/3/4" tall including the lid and 2/1/2" at the widest point This is a beautiful and rare set that displays beautifully.
