Antique German bisque head doll 25" compo jointed body marked Special

Description: For BIN- An antique German bisque head doll marked Special on the back of her neck. She is 25 inches tall, has a bisque head and ball jointed composition body. She is wearing a long curled newer wig set in an antique style. The wig is a synthetic fiber but feels much like human hair. The wig has never been used. Not perfect but in good condition. Curls could use a little touch up. Her pate is placed over a cut cardboard. It is antique. Her eyes are German glass, brown and set. Her composition body is fully jointed. She wears an ecru organdy bonnet with antique silk flowers trimming the side and a scalloped ecru ruffled net lace trim. Her dress is antique ecru cotton with pin tucks on the arms and trimming the bodiceA lace trims runs down the center of the bodice. The skirt is gathered and full. there are 2 pink rayon ribbons trimming the bodice and a rayon pink silk ribbon at the waist that has a bow in the back. Her slip in an antique ecru cotton. Has pin tucks and ruffled lace trim. Her pantaloons are antique style cotton but newer. Socks are antique vintage ribbed rayon and shoes are ecru vintage faux leather in antique style with a centered button closure over the ankle strap. Her head is marked Special and has what looks like 3 ones at the top back of her head. See photo. Her head has no hair lines or eye chips. She came to me with her eyes broken so I had some old glass German eyes which I plastered in. They are not on a rocker so they do not open and close. I am not a professional doll restorer but the eyes are tight. She looks sweet. Face paint is nice and she has 4 upper teeth. No chips or missing teeth. The pink rayon ribbon on the dress was added by me. It is no antique but looks pretty. there are 2 hook and eye closures on the back of the dress. I took many photos but will list the faults I have found. There are some chips in the bisque at the top back of her head, see photo. they are shallow. Just under the paint. Eyes are antique but replaced German glass. Compo body has some paint rubs and it looks like someone painted the end of one of her feet. There is a black mark on her right arm just above the wrist and the pointer finger on the right hand was broken and glued back on. there is a small chip to the paint and compo on her pointer finger of her left had. Her antique cotton dress does have a few pin holes but in very good condition and a true antique. She is not perfect but presents well. You can see some plaster on the inside of her right eye at the corner. I have tried to take as many photos as possible so you can see all her pluses and minuses but please ask questions if you have any. I found this girl at a country auction near East Greenville, PA. I have no info on her history. She came to me with a badly damaged mohair wig which I will send if you would like to have it. It can be cleaned and brushed out and reset if you have the patience and know how. Let me know if you want the original wig. Her dress was shredded so I replaced it with an antique dress I acquired from an estate sale. It was not repairable. I added the shoes, socks and bonnet. Slip was already on her. It has some discoloration but no damage to the fabric. Please view the photos well, ask questions if you have any.
