Description: Antique bent wooden dry measure. This type of measure was used by general stores and merchants to measure a variety of dry goods, and typically came in 5 sizes - 1 quart, 2 quart, 4 quart, 1 peck (8 quarts), and 1/2 bushel (16 quarts). This is the 1 peck size. It measures about 6.5" tall and 11.5" in diameter at the rim. Condition is as seen in photos. Scratches, soiling, some cracks, a few chips on the underside, and other wear. Some of the original nails that held the bottom on are missing or broken, so a few small finishing nails have been added to hold the bottom in place.
