The Folio is titled “Recent American Etchings” and is No. 19 in an addition of 60 etched proof on Japan paper. This scarce folio originally contained 10 etchings but the Hamilton Hamilton (“A Morning Walk”) is missing. Published in four other editions:--Vellum proofs, limited to five copies, signed and numbered ... Satin proofs, limited to fifteen copies, signed and numbered ... Imperial Japan proofs, limited to twenty copies, signed and numbered ... Japan proofs, limited to sixty copies, signed and numbered ..." This folio is number 19 of the 60 Japan proofs all hand signed. The overall sheet dimensions approx.: 18 x 13 in. (45.72 x 33.02 cm). The creator: Ripley Hitchcock (1857-1918). The etching proofs are in very good condition with small handling finger print on some of the japan paper by the artist?, The Mandolin has stains on the upper part of the paper, and all as seen in the pics.
