Description: Up for auction is a seldom seen AUSTRO-HUNGARIAN OR GERMAN military figure made of silver gilt (markings exist - see PIC), sea shell, 54 hard-stone jewels (red, green, blue cabochon "jewels"). This figure was made during the late 18th or early 19th century. He measures about 9 inches tall and weighs 1.2 lbs. He needs some cleaning, but will not attempt because of the jewels and age. The green jewels show some imperfection not sure if natural occurring. Otherwise, he is a beautiful hand crafted figure that captures a time when things were made so well to be enjoyed for years.
