Description: This lovely antique 3 Vol Set of Shakespeare’s Plays has been in my family since the early 60’s when they were rescued from the curbside trash by my mother. The have graced our shelves for decades The 3 Volumes are Comedies, Tragedies & Historical. Published by Johnson, Fry & Company No Publication date is listed. Some of the Steel Engravings are dated 1858. The books all have a leather spines and Linen boards. Each book has original Steel Engravings. The books are shelf worn, but intact. There are some loose pages in the Comedies Volume. They would be a lovely addition to any book collection or decorative display, the engravings alone are lovely.
