Description: A beautiful unmarked plate. Identified as an early Coalport ( c. 1820) Imari plate in a vibrant Imari palette of orange, turquoise green and cobalt. Plate measures 9.75 inches in diameter. Unmarked except for an impressed 1 ( or 7) on the bottom. Plate has a scalloped rim and gold trim. Vibrant peach, orange, turquoise green and cobalt. Good condition with no cracks or repairs. Colors are vibrant. There is crazing, which is noticeable on very close inspection. The plate had to be held at just the right angle, in light, in order to get a photograph that shows the crazing. Commensurate with age, there are a few tiny dimples in the plates surface. There is light rubbing to the gold rim. The under rim, the rim that the plate rests on, has two tiny chips. See pictures! See photos! A lovely piece!
