Description: Up for sale is an Antique Civil War Springfield M1855 Pistol & Carbine CARTRIDGE BOX .58 Cal!!! This is a very rare piece of history and this one is in acceptable to poor condition overall. I hate saying poor condition when describing something, but to be fair it is basically 175 years old and leather doesn't typically last that long, so the fact that it's still here is amazing in and of itself! There is some cracking and damage to the leather throughout the piece. There are also two buckles on the front, one of which has broken off but I still have it and it is still included with this purchase. I want to be clear that the leather here is in good enough condition that you can open and close this piece without feat of breaking or cracking anything, and it is still pliable enough to be bent and moved around. I just wouldn't handle it roughly or manhandle, it needs to be handled with care given the age. It measures in at roughly 8" wide, 6 1/2" tall, and 2 1/2" deep. It weighs in at 15.6 ounces total.
