Description: Untitled Document Antique Chinese Orange Silk Embroidered Floral Butterfly Bird Slipper Shoes This pair of antique Chinese orange silk embroidered floral butterfly bird slipper shoes date from the 1920s. They are made of a bright orange silk fabric, with colorful pastel silk raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery work of insects, butterflies, birds and flowers. These slipper style slip-on shoes have hand stitched rope string hard leather hard bottom soles, black cotton backing underneath the silk fabric with trim edging along the tops and are fully lined in linen with red ink stamp labels "Made in China" Size 7 stamped inside. The shoes measure 10 inches long and 3 inches wide. They are in fair as-is condition with frayed holes on the front toes and back heels (see close-ups). Great for display. These are truly a wonderful piece of antique Chinese embroidered shoe art! Items are described as accurately as possible, sold as found, possibly having some imperfections and flaws.
