Description: ANTIQUE WOOD BOX This old small circa 1915 poplar wood sliding lid kitchen storage box measures 6-1/8" long x 2-1/4" wide x 1-5/8" tall and weighs about two ounces. It features rabbet joints, an easy sliding lid, and nice variable color worn blue and green paint that was a later addition. It was part of a large collection of painted wood boxes most of which were used for kitchen storage. It has a faint spicy odor inside so it may have been used to store spices.
