He was the oldest living past president of the National Photographers Assoc of America and the New England Photographers Assoc. Town moderator for 15 years and treasurer and chairman for the trust funds for 35 yrs. Educated in Hillsboro Schools and Colby Academy and graduate of Illinois College of Photography. Holder of the Boston Post cane in Hillsboro. 50 year member of Harmony Lodge, F & AM, of which he was the oldest member. Donated 42 acres with 650 frontage for town recreation known as Manahan's park.
