Description: Phenomenal, over-the-top and dramatic early 20th century copper double inkwell with addition letter tray by Apollo Studios which was a metal workshop that was an offshoot in New York of Bernard Rice & Sons. This is one of their more elaborate Inca style pieces, hallmarked by the dimpled copper throughout. Outstanding arts and crafts period style, design, and craftsmanship. Beautiful patina. Clearly hallmarked with the model number on the bottom. One foot is slightly bent (in the front - please see the photo) one of the dimples is a bit flattened in the back. Both could possibly be repaired by a skilled metalworker but the piece is fine and beautiful as is. Approximately 7 x 7 x 4. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please don't hesitate to reach out. Will ship signature required due to value for buyer and seller protection. Possibly rare to market. I could only find one photo of it in one of the reference books on Arts and Crafts metal work and virtually nothing online about this one.
