Sign Up ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU PORCELAIN NUDE EROS AND PSYCHE ETUI NECESSAIRE GERMANY Product description ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU PORCELAIN NUDE EROS AND PSYCHE ETUI NECESSAIRE GERMANY Antique Art Nouveau era German made blanc de chine white porcelain etui necessaire/figurine. Features a glazed, swirled rococo shape bottom tray that folds into the two figurines of Eros and Psyche. The piece is made using both glazed and unglazed porcelain . This antique piece depicts the w onderful love story! Marvelously designed piece flows into the bottom female as her hands are extended out, draped on the angel's neck. Nice subtle detailing as you can make out both their hair and other physical features. The bottom base/ necessaire /tray is open and the piece very well could be used as an ashtray (a swirl in the front edge is conveniently down to act as a potential holder). Completely unmarked, unsigned piece. Pre-1891. Measures 6 1/4" Long x 3 3/4" Wide x 4" High. Bottom base is roughly 3/4" deep. Good condition. The white glazed bottom is mostly clean and smooth. One minor stain on the interior. The bisque angel-winged figure was repaired (glued on)at the left wing and it's tip is missing(pic 9). The same figure has also lost the lower portion of her left leg (pic 7). During the fixing process someone must of foolishly tried to paint over the bisque finish (pic 10) and the finish is a bit uneven and rough in spots. These issue's do not compromise the piece's usability. No other cracks, chips, crazing, or issues with the glaze.
