Description: Being a nerd for Art Nouveau, I had to get this! It's a sliding book holder. When it's closed, it spans about 8". When fully extended, it's 14 7/8" (those measurements are the inside, where the books would go). It would be lovely with any books - of course leather bindings would look amazing! The ends measure 5 3/4" tall and at the widest point in the decoration, they are 6 1/2" across. The rails themselves are 5 inches apart. A lovely period peice with sweet ribbon decoraton.
