It features an ornate metal base with antique gold finished patina, and exquisite glass bead and crystal shade. Each beaded strand of the shade features a single clear elongated tube bead, accented by green and gold beads, and frosted teardrop at bottom. The top of the shade features rows of clear faceted crystals.It has its original Hubbell brass socket with pull chain, which holds regular small watt bulb. I feel that regular low wattage bulbs today (including torpedo) run a little too hot for the beads, so have added a small bulb adaptor, along with small low wattage bulb to lower the intensity of light.Hubbell Incorporated was founded in 1888 by American inventor and entrepreneur, Harvey Hubbell II, who seized on the opportunities created by the commercial availability of electric power and the advent of the lightbulb. There a few little casting flaws in the lamp base ... part of manufacturing, and there is a portion of one strand that is missing beads on the shade ... which can be turned to the side or back. Absolutely nothing, in my opinion, that takes away from the overall viewing beauty. Be sure to view all photos. Have tested the lamp, and it currently works perfectly, however, I always sell all lighting "AS IS"... making no guarantee for the future. I am not an electrical expert, and always suggests that antique/vintage lighting be checked by an expert.~ SIGNED: The only marking I found is the original light socket marked "HUBBELL"
