Sign Up Antique 1920’s Pincher Toaster by RIMCO / Sears & Roebuck Swing Doors Chicago Product description Antique 1920s Pincher Toaster by RIMCO / Sears Roebuck Swing Doors Chicago Here we have a 1920s RIMCO (Rock Island Manufacturing Company) Pincher Toaster, made in Rock Island, Illinois, operates at 110 volts and 4.4 amps and is model 17A. Featuring an "X and O" design, this toaster includes a top that keeps toast warm. Popular throughout the 1920s, this unique hybrid model has a mechanism where opening the door causes the support grid to swing slightly, making it easier to remove or turn the toast. Really cool Flapper style appliance. The tag plate says Sears Roebuck, however, the style exactly matches the RIMCO 17A, so we believe this unit was manufactured by RIMCO, and distributed and/or licensed by Sears Roebuck. Weight: 3lbs 8oz 7L x 4W x 7 ⅜H This unit is untested and being sold as a decorative piece. There is minor to moderate oxidation around the body and top of the toasters housing. The inside section shows a lot of blackening from use. Generally, the body and based are in relatively decent condition from a decorative stand point.
