Description: Antique 1914 SHAKER-STYLE ROUND BUTTER / PANTRY BOX PETERBOROUGH, NH. Approx 4" diameter by 1" tall. I have had these for 25 years and purchased at an estate sale in Peterborough, NH. A true barn find! This container came from a wood crate/case of 100 shown in the last picture. The case appears to be from the same tree. All containers come from the open case shown. Wood color may vary a little and dusty. Im not sure of the origin otherwise, but they are stamped PAT NOV 17 1914 on top and bottom. See pics. I have also just listed an unopened case with 100 containers in a nice rustic, original dove tailed wood crate.
