Description: Antique 1850s Homespun Jacquard Coverlet Indigo Blue & White Wool Bed Cover Preowned Condition. Floral Shaped Pattern. Blue & Cream White. There are some frays at both ends —Please note pictures. Measurements: 96 Inches by 63” Inches. The jacquard loom was introduced to the US around 1824. When American coverlet weavers added the jacquard device to the top of their hand-powered looms, it allowed them to weave elaborate designs, printed letters, and numbers. No center seam.
