Description: Up for sale is this lovely original antique hand colored ornithology print, "Young Male Condor Cathartes Gryphus." The print was engraved by Alexander Lawson from a drawing done by Alexander Rider. It is a fairly large size with the paper measuring approximately 16 7/8 inches by 13 5/8 inches. The National Gallery of Art dates it to sometime between 1825-1833. It is overall in very good condition with some minor staining near the top right corner, some very light foxing and other minor wear. Please look at the photos to further note the condition.
