Description: For sale is 1 Anthem Avm 70 8k procession. Open to a local buyer that can pick up willing to do cash deal at 2999 obo if picked up on location price not open to sale that requires any shipping .unless we specifically agree to shipping details prior to sale . Unit was purchased 3 months ago at local Magnolia . My room has been under construction so the unit is realistically brand new. The box was I can just return it. So please don't bother sending lowball offers. Was part of a package deal purchased four months ago but never made it to use. The only reason the boxes were opened at all was because we had custom trim plates cut for my rack and they needed exact measurements of how the equipment sat on the shelves to cut the diamond plating that was going to be covering all the open spaces in the rack. It was never even plugged in unit is as new as it can get without buying one from the factory. I'm not selling due to any negative issues or reviews. I have numerous friends that also got the unit and I absolutely love it which is why I went with it on top of at the time it was a sale on the 70 and 90. And I did consider both but one of my good friends upgraded to the 90 so had both in his basement at the time. We were able to actually AB them on the fly in his room to see if anyone noticed any drastic differences. And everyone agreed to absolutely zero difference when it comes to movies, TV, turntable or any analog input from a CD player etc. The only noticeable difference and it was a pretty drastic one. Was when you went directly into the digital connection for music in his case with a aurender music renderer /streamer . The 90 sounded drastically better when listening to digital Hi-Rez and 2.0-2.1 channel , But only when using the digital connection to the built-in dac on the 90. In fact the 90 actually sounded considerably better than even when he added in his external $3900 chord external dac . So if you're a fan of music no question the 90 is probably one of the best deals will ever find For anyone looking to do both a great video and surround sound. As well as the option to listen or stream Hi-Rez digital music. But if you're not a big music fan or you have a separate system for music then there's absolutely zero difference in performance between the 70 and 90. In fact the only physical difference at all is the ability to do four subs independently but the 70 can only do two subs independently so if you do want 4subs you can do it but you would just be adding two to each of the sub outputs which really is no big deal unless you're the type of person that likes to spend 100 hours a month tweaking or dialing in your lower end. If you are that type of person I would definitely suggest the 90 as after playing around with it the software is absolutely unmatched. And deeper in ability than anything I have tried including the Lindorf and Datasat 20 Which was the pre I had before getting to 70. I also have matching MCA gen 2 amps Ps as well as numerous interconnects from audioquest if interested I can list them for buyer . I believe one of the 525 Amps are actually still sealed because I only needed one to put into the rack for measurements. Also if you're interested in a 90 my neighbor did buy my Datasat 20 So I'm sure he'd be interested in selling his 90 which he bought the same day I got my 70. And purchased my Datasat over a month ago . So it was only in his possession for use literally a maximum of 10 weeks. Then was packed up by the dealer who sold us it with all accessories manuals etc. as a came new Today he came out to program the DS 20 for him. Personally I preferred the 90 over the DS 20. But I never really got top performance from it because the programming was just too confusing for someone who likes to do their own set ups. It definitely required professional installation as well as a full set up and programming. And I really don't like having to call for programming every time I change something which is pretty often. So it had nothing to do with the performance of the DS 20 which I'm told is actually better than the 90 once it's set up correctly but out of the box with basic set up I thought the 90 looked considerably better and sounded considerably better. But numerous friends and others have told me that was all because the DS 20 needed to be programmed correctly and by somebody who really knew what they were doing with it. And there's not some thing you can learn by tinkering with it for a few days. So I switched more because of the fact I didn't want an ongoing bill every time I do something because I needed my local programmer to come out and make the change compared to the 70 which I pretty much programmed myself at his place in about three hours and after a while started to become pretty straightforward. And honestly I am more than happy with both the image and sound He got in his room after I ran the full set up that I didn't see any need to tie up so much more of my budget Sticking with the DS 20 when I was absolutely 100% happy with the 70 at a quarter of the price and even less because of the sale.
