Description: A native of Italy, Anna Maria Arena studied art throughout her early years. When she moved to the US, she continued her studies under the guidance of prominent artists and teachers of Chicago’s American Academy of Art and the Palette and Chisel Academy. Her favorite medium for the past 15 years has been oil. For inspiration, Anna Maria uses collected scenes from her travels in Europe, and the memories of her beloved Italy: quaint towns, beautiful gardens, and sunny courtyards. Anna Maria participates in local art shows and juried competitions. Her work is on display in many private collections, as well as art galleries, libraries, and public buildings. In addition, she is a member of the Oil Painters of America Society and the Glenview Art League, where she has served on the Board of Directors for many years. Framed 12 x 9.5 and a 9 x 7 painting.
